Retired from Navy after 22 years as a Commander(0-5); worked aerospace for 7 years w/Lockheed Missiles & Space; taught high school Biology, AP Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, coached golf for 2 years, coached tennis for both girls and boys for 7 years, Athletic Director, basketball referee for 25 years, Vice Principal for 4 years; own FiberFur Creations (side business); substitute in high school and sometimes middle school; Texas kids are super!!! Built a beautiful home in Weatherford, Texas….lived there 2014-2024….moved to Amarillo, TX, 2024 where we built another beautiful home where we are helping our son, Joshua, an OB/GYN and single father of eight (3 sets of twins), raise them in the Bushland Community. Darla and I actively substitute in BISD primarily in the high school, and we are active in our local church.

Married the love of my life in 1969 and have been blessed beyond imagination. We have four children and 23 grandchildren. Became a Christian in 1968 which completely changed my life. Traveled throughout the world with the Navy and on multiple trips to Europe with my wife and children. Flew multiple a/c types totaling 5,200 flight hours during my career…made 36 rescue missions aas a Naval Aviator. Retired from teaching in June (2014); sold our Stockton home and moved to Texas; Celebrated our 55th Anniversary in June; active with our new church in Amarillo; moved to Amarillo in 2024 to support our son with his eight children as he finishes residency in OB/GYN; just finishing building a beautiful home outside of Amarillo and substitute teach at Bushland High School.

Enjoy various types of music; classical, spiritual, western, the 50's through the 70's------what they call music today feels like eating stale potato chips for breakfast, lunch and dinner, leaving one totally empty and desiring something of substance.

Traveled the world with the Navy and family----11 trips to Europe. Seen things. . .been places. . .done things that I never dreamed I would ever do. Flew missions that saved lives, watched the miracle of birth of two of our children, shared the past 55 years of marriage with the finest person I've ever known, been blessed with health and wealth that I didn't deserve, and, most importantly, made the decision for eternity on May 28, 1968 to accept the gift of salvation in Christ Jesus. How could anyone ask for more!?
